Nature is a good friend; But man fails to reciprocate

A friend in need is a friend indeed. This is a famous line that all of us have realized in our life some time somewhere.   Friends understand difficulties and problems borne by his friend and try to get his friend out of miserable condition. ‘Nature’ has fulfilled her duties as a friend for each and every organism of this world. Nature provides best possible shape, size and structure to each one of the living organisms. It fulfills demands of food, shelter, clothing etc. by providing resources to us. In short, nature behaves as a good friend of mankind and other organisms too by helping them in one way or the other.

Most of the human beings never regard the selfless friendship offered by nature. They try to spoil the beauty of nature by pollution, deforestation and  over exploitation of natural resources. But, nature like a good friend never complains and tries to adjust maximum. Man forgets that nature behaves as a companion in every second of his life right from birth to death. He never thinks what will happen if there is no pure air or water or trees. He forgets that all these resources are being provided by the nature. Nature does not ask for anything from man. Man keeps on exploiting the vast and precious resources of nature at an unsustainable rate. Man wishes to become the master of nature. This is nothing but foolishness of man. He forgets that nature is powerful and beyond the thinking of man. Earthquakes,    floods, volcanoes, heavy rainfall etc. are the natural calamities that are out of man’s control. Still, man commits blunder of considering him more powerful than nature. Man behaves like a foolish friend of nature.

However, there are people in the world who are not foolish and they regard friendship offered by nature. They understand the fact that there existence is dependent upon nature and natural resources. They can live a quality life by using natural resources in a sustainable manner. They are aware of the fact that nature has gifted human beings an efficient brain so that they can modify natural resources into various products to enhance the quality of their life.

Deterioration of nature will cause damage to our life also. Think over this fact and leave all the practices that cause harm to our relationship with nature. At least, we can try to lessen such practices. Be a friend of nature and nature will shower her gifts upon you.
